In 2011 the state of New Jersey has missed out on being the 1st state in the USA known to be in charge of the online gambling legalization and regulation as the Gov. Chris Christie has deicded to veto the bill passed by the Senate of New Jersey.
The Senator Ray Lesniak,is intending to take advantage of the Justice Department in the United States that is about to change the online gambling policy.
Through the Justice Department the government affirmed that the intrastate Internet gambling is not going to violate the law. Ray told the press that they may be the Silicon Valley of online gambling. That may be the future’s wave and they can take the lead.
Ray Lesniak introduced a new bill last year in August to the Gov. Christie including fines of one thousand dollars per each player each day for those who run any online gambling operation illegally and ten thousand dollars for advertising these operations.
Players registering at the online casinos may have been residents in the state of New Jersey, but only those who took part at the New Jersey borders while gambling online and only those having at least 21 years.
The new bill is known to contain provisions that make reference to the player all round support. As the real life casinos must pay 30 million dollars every year, the slot machines are being kept out of the tracks. Ray’s bill needs the online gambling licensees be paid 20 million dollars each year during 3 years in order to help the tracks in a rough period.
The bill is going to give about 100,000 dollars each year from online gambling revenues in order to create programs specialized for the compulsive players. They must be able to fix a limit on the maximum they can afford to bet or lose. Internet gambling revenue are about to have a 10 percent tax instead of the 8 percent one on the real life casino revenue.
